Mathematicians from around the world gathered at Notre Dame last week to honor Notre Dame professor and associate math chair Juan Migliore on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

Magliore is a pioneer in the mathematics based the Gorenstein linkage or liaison, a technique he developed touching on the work of prominent 19th Century mathematicians.
