Research Interests

My research focuses on the interaction between stochastic analysis and differential geometry. I have been particularly interested first in the study of stochastic processes with values in manifolds of maps, such as spaces of diffeomorphisms arising in fluid mechanics; and second in small time estimates for the kernel of degenerate diffusions, where the grading of certain Lie algebras are believed to encode probabilistic information.

Selected Publications

  • Homogenisation for anisotropic kinetic random motion, P. Perruchaud. Available at arXiv:1811.08415.
