Research Interests

I am interested in algebraic, algorithmic and arithmetic aspects of differential and difference equations. This includes in particular the Galois theory of differential and difference equations and the theory of groups defined by algebraic difference equations. In my research I use methods from commutative algebra, algebraic geometry and the theory of algebraic groups. I am also interested in connections to model theory, combinatorics and number theory.
