Will give a Graduate Student Topology Seminar entitled:
The Double Suspension Theorem
Abstract: If you suspend a non-simply connected homology n-sphere, you don't get a manifold. If you suspend it twice, you do. In fact, you always get the (n+2)-sphere. This is the Double Suspension Theorem due to Cannon (1979). I'll discuss the setup, consequences, and definitely *not* the proof.
