Aspects of Conformally Compact Spaces and their Submanifolds
Abstract: I will discuss p-Laplace eigenvalue and Cheeger constant estimates on (certain) conformally compact spaces and their submanifolds. Interestingly, a submanifold invariant naturally arises when deriving lower bounds for the first eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian. If time permits, I will cover some applications of this new invariant. This is joint work with A. Tyrrell.
